Turn on automatic monthly bills (Pro)
Let BoardHub create every active tenant's rent bill by itself at the start of each month. A Pro feature you switch on once under Automations & Email.

With automatic billing on, you never have to remember to make rent bills. BoardHub creates them for all your active tenants at the start of every month.
Before you start
This is a Pro feature. Check that your rooms have the right monthly rent and Assignment Type, and that tenants have move-in dates, since those decide each bill's amount and due day.
Step by step
- Open My Website (on a phone, More, then My Website).
- Go to the Automations & Email tab.
- Under Automation Settings, switch on Auto-Generate Monthly Bills.
- Optional: set the Default Bill Due Day for tenants without a move-in date.
- Tap Save Changes.

What happens next
At the start of each month, BoardHub makes one rent bill per active tenant, the same way the Generate bills button does:
- Per Room rent is shared among the tenants in the room; Per Person rent is billed in full.
- Reserved, inactive and moved-out tenants are left out.
- Tenants who already have that month's rent bill are skipped.
- Discount rules are applied, and advance credit pays the bill straight away.
Tips
- Pair it with Notify: Upcoming Due Bills and Notify: Overdue Bills on the same tab, so tenants are reminded without you lifting a finger.
- Utility bills aren't automatic. Add electricity and water each month with Create Bill, using By Room (Split) for shared rooms.

Frequently asked questions
When are the automatic bills created?
At the start of each month, so tenants can see what they owe before it's due. Each bill's due date is still the tenant's move-in day later in that month.
Can I still press Generate bills myself?
Yes. It never makes duplicates. Anyone already billed for that month is skipped.
