How to edit, undo or delete a payment you recorded
Fix a wrong amount, date, method or reference, mark a payment as unpaid if it was recorded by mistake, or delete it. BoardHub updates the bill automatically.

Typed ₱8,500 instead of ₱850, or tapped Mark as Paid on the wrong bill? It happens. You can correct any payment, and the bill it belongs to updates with it.
Step by step

Marked paid by mistake? Mark it as unpaid
- Open the tenant's profile and find the payment in Payment History, or find it on Payments.
- Open the row's menu and tap Mark as unpaid (the circular arrow on Payments).
- Check the summary: the bill, what it will owe, and anything else that changes. Tap Mark as unpaid.
The payment leaves Payment History and the bill comes back to Bills as Unpaid (or Partially Paid if another payment still covers part of it). The tenant's portal shows it as owed again.
- Paid from advance credit? The credit goes back to the tenant. BoardHub uses credit on open bills every morning at 5:30, so the bill may be paid from credit again.
- Came from a GCash or Maya proof? The proof goes back to For approval, so you can approve or reject it again.
- No surprise late fee. Automatic late fees skip a bill you reopened this way.

To delete a payment
- On Payments, tap the trash icon (Delete on a phone) on the payment.
- Read the warning, "The tenant's bill balance will be recalculated", and confirm.
What happens next
When you change an amount, mark a payment unpaid or delete it, BoardHub adjusts the linked bill's paid amount and balance, so its status becomes Paid, Partially Paid or Unpaid as needed. The tenant's portal shows the corrected numbers.
Tips
- You can also edit or delete from the tenant's profile: open the menu on a row in Payment History.
- Wrong tenant? Delete the payment and record it again under the right tenant.
- An advance ("Paid ahead") has no bill behind it, so it has no Mark as unpaid. Delete it instead.
Tip: Deleting can't be undone, so editing or Mark as unpaid is usually the safer fix.
Frequently asked questions
I marked a bill paid by mistake. How do I put it back?
Open the payment's menu in Payment History (or on Payments) and tap Mark as unpaid. The payment is removed and the bill goes back to Bills as unpaid, for you and in the tenant's portal.
Can I undo a deleted payment?
No. Deleting a payment is permanent. Record the payment again if you deleted it by mistake.
Will the tenant's bill go back to unpaid?
Yes, by the amount removed. The bill's paid amount and balance are recalculated, so it may go back to Unpaid or Partially Paid.
