Chat with a tenant inside BoardHub (Messages)
Message any active tenant one-to-one from the Messages page, send photos or short videos, and keep every conversation in one place. A Pro feature.

Keep tenant conversations out of your personal chat apps. With Messages, every exchange with a tenant sits in BoardHub, next to their bills and payments.
Pro: Tenant messaging is included in Pro. On Free, the Messages page shows what it does and an Upgrade to Pro button.
Step by step
- Open Messages. On a computer it's under Grow in the sidebar. On your phone, tap More, then Messages.
- Find the tenant in the list. Use Search tenants... to search by name or room number.
- Tap the tenant to open the chat.
- Type in the Type a message... box and tap send.
- To share a picture or a short video, tap the photo or video icon beside the message box.
Grow›Messages
On a phone, tap Back to tenants to return to the list.
What happens next
Your tenant gets a "New message from your Landlord" notification and sees the chat in their tenant portal. When they reply, you get a notification too.
Tips
- You can react to a message or reply to a specific one using the small buttons that appear on it.
- Need to tell everyone the same thing, like a water interruption? Post an announcement instead of messaging each tenant.
- If you miss messages, turn on Unread messages under My Account > Notifications to get a digest by email or push, at most once every 6 hours.
