What happens next
The expense appears in the list for its month. At the top of the page you'll see three numbers for the month you've selected:
- Monthly Revenue: payments collected on that month's bills.
- Total Expenses: everything you recorded for that month.
- Net Income: revenue minus expenses. It turns red if you spent more than you collected.
Use the month and year selectors to look at a different month.
Tips
- Always pick the Property. Reports use it to split income and costs per boarding house.
- Made a mistake? Delete the line with the trash icon and add it again.
- Expenses also feed your Monthly Income and Yearly Income reports.
Tip: Your Expenses page counts payments made toward that month's bills, while the income reports count payments by the date they were received. If a tenant paid late, the two can differ a little.
