Turn on two-step verification with an authenticator app
Protect your BoardHub sign-in with a 6-digit code from Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator, plus recovery codes in case you lose your phone.

With two-step verification, signing in needs your password and your phone. Even if someone learns your password, they can't get in without the code.
Before you start
Install Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator on your phone. Both are free in the Play Store and App Store.
Step by step
- On your phone, tap More, then Security & app lock. On a computer, click Security & app lock in the sidebar (under My Account), or your profile picture at the top, then Security & app lock.
- Under Sign-in protection, find Two-step verification and tap Set up two-step verification.
- In your authenticator app, tap +, then Scan a QR code, and scan the code on screen. On the same phone, tap Open in authenticator app instead.
- Type the 6-digit code the app shows for BoardHub into 6-digit code.
- Tap Turn on.
- Save the recovery codes that appear: tap Copy, or screenshot or write them down. Then tap I saved them.

What happens next
Every time you sign in, BoardHub asks for your password, then shows "Enter your 6-digit code". Open your authenticator app, type the code, and tap Verify and sign in.
Recovery codes
You get 8 recovery codes, and they're shown only once. Each one lets you sign in once if you don't have your phone. The card shows how many you have left. Tap New recovery codes for a fresh set. You'll need your account password.
Tip: To turn it off, tap Turn off on the same card and enter your account password. We recommend keeping it on.
Frequently asked questions
Can I get the code by SMS or email instead?
No. Two-step verification in BoardHub uses an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator.
I lost my phone. How do I sign in?
On the code screen, tap Lost your phone? Use a recovery code and enter one of the recovery codes you saved. Each code works once.
