Keep your BoardHub account and tenant data safe
Simple habits and built-in protections that keep your account safe, from app lock and two-step sign-in to lockouts and new-device warnings.
Last updated
Your BoardHub account holds your tenants' personal details and your income. A few minutes of setup keeps it that way.
Step by step
- Turn on app lock so a PIN, fingerprint or Face ID is needed to open BoardHub on your phone.
- Turn on two-step verification so signing in needs your password and a code from your authenticator app.
- Use a strong password you don't use anywhere else, and change it if you think someone knows it.
- Read BoardHub's security emails. New-device sign-in warnings and password resets are always sent, so keep your email address current.
- Sign out on shared computers using Sign out (phone: bottom of More) or Logout at the top of the screen.

What BoardHub does for you
- Wrong password protection: after the first wrong try, the sign-in page adds a quick check (a CAPTCHA). After 3 wrong tries, the account locks for 24 hours and is flagged for review.
- New-device warnings: you get an email when your account signs in from a new device.
- App lock sign-out: after 5 wrong PINs, BoardHub signs out and only your password gets back in.
If something looks wrong
- Got a new-device warning you don't recognise? Change your password right away in My Account > Security, then turn on two-step verification.
- Locked out? Use Forgot password? on the sign-in page. A successful reset also unlocks the account.
- Still stuck? Contact support from More > Contact support, or Ask BoardHub AI > Support on a computer.
Tip: Never share your password or recovery codes in chat or text messages, not even with people offering to help.
Frequently asked questions
My account says it's locked. What do I do?
After 3 wrong password attempts the account locks for 24 hours. Reset your password with Forgot password? to unlock it right away, or contact support if it wasn't you.
Can my caretaker use my account?
BoardHub has one login per landlord account. If you share it with someone you trust, change your password whenever that arrangement ends.
